Summary:
- Students are invited to take this test based on their performance on the
AMC exam.
- AMC 10: Students who score in the top 1% will be invited to participate.
- AMC 12: Students who score in the top 5% or score at least 100 will be invited to participate.
- The problems on this test are fairly difficult; even the best students in the nation typically answer only about half of the questions. However, all can be solved using methods no more advanced than pre-calculus.
- The test is administered during school, typically only on the "preffered" date.
- The test lasts 3 hours.
- There are 15 free respons questions, and there is no guessing penalty.
- All answers are integers between 0 and 999
- No justification is required for answers
- A correct answer receives 1 point.
- An incorrect or blank answer receives 0 points.
- Calculators are not allowed.
